Freedom & Liberty

Today my heart is heavy because of what is coming very soon to a theater near all of us. We have come to our 1776 moment. I have read and heard this week from a very reliable source that the next virus has been created and is to be unleashed on us in 2025. Now is the time to resist the tyrannical Marxist evil. As Ronald Reagan said, "If we lose freedom hear, there will be no place to escape to. This is the last stand on this earth. And if we lose it, it may never return." He went on to say; "The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, they are not; it's that they know so much that is simply not truth, and they teach it!"

Our God has placed us her for such a time as this. If we will stand and fight for the name of Jesus Christ and the freedom given to us by our Creator, He will lead us into that freedom either in this world or in the next. We must resist and reject evil at every turn and no matter what the cost.

Alexander Hamilton said, "A nation which can prefer disgrace to danger is prepared for a master and deserves one!" A nation which can prefer disgrace to danger is prepared for a master and deserves one!"

There was a group of men in 1776 that pledged their lives and fortunes and sacred honor for a just cause and placed their faith and trust in the God who had brought them to their promised land. They trusted him no matter what.

Benjamin Franklin said this to the Continental congress just before they voted to pass the Declaration of Independence,"I have lived, sir, a long time; and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth, that God governs in the affairs of men! And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid? —We have been assured, sir, in the sacred writings that, ‘except the Lord build the house they labor in vain that build it.’ I firmly believe this; and I also believe, that without his concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel: We shall be divided by our little partial local interests, our projects will be confounded, and we ourselves shall be become a reproach and a by-word down to future ages…

I therefore beg leave to move, that henceforth prayers, imploring the assistance of heaven, and its blessings on our deliberations, be held in this assembly every morning before we proceed to business; and that one or more of the clergy of this city be requested to officiate in that service."

This the stuff our country and the men that God used to build were made of. What are we made?

II Corinthians 3:17-18 "Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."

Proverbs 11:14 "Without wisdom a nation will surely fall. And in the midst of wise council there is safety."

1 Peter 2:16-17 “Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. Honor everyone. Love the brothers. Fear God. Honor the king.”

Galatians 5:13 "You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh ; rather, serve one another humbly in love."
