The State of the Nation

There is so much going through my mind and on my heart. I almost don't know where to start. So we have an historic hurricane bearing down on Florida with probable destruction of the magnitude that we may have never seen before. This is the second hurricane in two weeks. Hurricane season is just starting. The war in the Middle East between the so-called Palestinian's , Israel and Hamas Iran) yes Iran ! We all know that Iran is right in the middle of this confrontation. The war in the Ukrain continues, the Ukrainian people are being slaughtered and they are burning the whole country to the ground. The election in America and may be a disaster all in its self. This Saturday October 12 is not only the Sabbath but also the day of atonement. It is considered a high holy day. As for the hurricanes, I invite all to join me, I not only will be observing the Sabbath but will be fasting and praying for my repentance and my family and for my country. I will be interceding for all those impacted by these hurricanes. In the case of the election, I will be seeking God's mercy for this upcoming election. This will likely be the most important election in the history of our nation. Ronald Reagan once said " If we lose freedom here there will be no place to go, we will lose it for a very long time if it ever comes back around." Please understand that I paraphrased what he said. This election is that critical. It seems that no matter which way it goes, someone is promising violence. Nation wide turmoil is a very real possibility. Please vote! Both of the wars I mentioned are intensifying. We may have never needed God's intervention more than we do now. God's judgment is not only upon America, God's judgment can be witnessed all around the world. The only way forward for all of us is through our Father in heaven and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This coming Saturday's Sabbath is a perfect opportunity for all of us to come together pray and seek God's mercy and forgiveness. The title of this post is The State of the Nation: this post would not be true to its name if I didn't cover a few other issues. Number One: God's mercy and forgiveness depends upon us. If we refuse to obey His commands and repent of our sins, we should not expect mercy and forgiveness. Number two: In America since Roe v Wade was overturned abortions have increased out of control. Number three: homosexuality and every sort filthy perversion is running rampant in our society. People run around mating like a bunch of dogs in heat. Number four: our society worships anything and everything other than God! He is the one deserving of all worship and glory and honor ! Can any of us really expect to be blessed by God. We must turn our hearts back to Him. God clearly says in His Word ( 2 Chron 7:14 ) , "If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways , then I will hear from heaven , and I will forgive their sins and will heal their land. " Can we stop going our own ways and seeking the pleasures of this world, which are fleeting and won't last? Seek our Savior Jesus Christ and the eternal blessings that only He can provide ! This is not a one and done ! We must follow after Him daily. Paul the apostle said we must work out our salvation on a daily basis. Please come and join me as we daily seek our Lord and place our lives in His hands , then it won't matter what comes because we will be His, and my Savior knows how to protect and provide like no other.
