Not A Moral Authority

You tell the people that you love how to avoid the road to hell fire. It's not because you want to shake your finger at them or because you think you're a moral authority. You do it because you want them to accept Christ as their Savior and avoid being condemned to eternal destruction. There is too much moral authority in the church today and not enough biblical truth and wisdom. When will our hearts break for the lost and dying?

Could it be that our hearts are cold and hard (hearts of stone)? We need to realize that if they are lost for eternity, this will be the only heaven they will ever know.

Where is the Fruit?

(Are You Really Saved?)

When we ask someone if they are a Christian, we get a lot of different answers. One I heard recently was, "of course I'm a Christian I'm an American" Another one I hear frequently is, " I go to church" or

" I take my family to church" or " I give money to the church" so that makes me a Christian. Rarely do you hear about repentance and godly sorrow over sin or accepting Christ and the sacrifice He made for us. We start with biblical truth about salvation. Romans 10:9-11 says " If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses resulting in salvation. The Scripture says whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed."

Truly believing in Christ is not just acknowledging His existence. It means to acknowledge Him in your heart as Savior and acknowledge the sacrifice He made for us and His resurrection from the dead.

When believe in Christ Jesus and His sacrifice for us, then comes the understanding that he is the only way to salvation. John 14:6 " I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Acts 4:12 " And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved." We must then repent of our sins. Living in a state of repentance must become a way of life, and then baptism. Acts 2:38 " Repent every one of you and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." But we must realize that it is not by anything that we have done but only through He has done for us. Titus 3:5 " He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit." We must also understand that salvation is not only a free gift from God, but a complete change of life. Not a onetime event but we must set aside our sin and past in order to follow Him. Matthew 16:24 " Jesus told his disciples ' If anyone would come after me let him deny himself, take up his cross and follow me."

Ephesians 2:8-9 " For it is by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is a gift from God; not as a result of works, so that no one can boast."

Now I must ask you all, please come to Christ today. Come to Him now while he may be found. Then you will know what it is like to truly and completely loved. There will come a time when the door closes forever. Christ would rather that all would come to repentance and that none would perish. My friends always remember, I don't forget you in my prayers and that I love you all.

Philippians 1:3-4 I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
